Location: Dallas, Texas
Wanted: Bilingual Safety Consultant to work for a full-service loss control safety company that provides a wide range of safety related services, risk management consulting and safety training throughout the US.
Successful candidate must be able to:
Establish and maintain effective working relationships, communicate clearly and concisely—both orally and in writing—work independently and make effective judgments regarding compliance issues, track, interpret, apply and explain complex and technical policies, procedures, codes, statutes, regulations, and documents, and make recommendations.
Responsibilities
Candidates must be available and willing to travel approximately 65% of the time.
Education/Certifications
The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree, in Safety / Industrial Science or similar / related discipline.
Candidate Profile, Experience and Personal Attributes
The successful candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a health and safety role. The candidate must possess a strong work ethic and absolute integrity. Certification as either a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is desirable.
The successful candidate must also demonstrate the professional maturity necessary to gain the confidence of senior leaders within the company. This individual must be adaptable and flexible, and must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding and complex environment.
In addition, the successful candidate will be or have:
• An Authorized OSHA Instructor in both Construction and General Industry
• The intellectual curiosity and ability to grasp the challenges with the company’s safety and environmental health policies and accomplishments.
• Articulate, with demonstrated strong oral and written skills, capable of effectively communicating the company’s policies and challenges to internal and external audiences.
• A pragmatic and professional nature, with the ability to establish clear priorities quickly and meet deadlines. This person must be able to work effectively under pressure and make decisions independently.
• A self-starter, with strong project management skills, who is highly-motivated and has the ability to simultaneously handle multiple tasks.
